Coxa smiled and nuzzled him gently.
"Oh don't I look like I usually look?" She asked with a soft tease.
She took the babies from her right side and put them in her plumage.
"Were do you want to go? We can go anywhere, absolutely anywhere." She smiled and nuzzled him once again.

Kna rubbed his chin in thought. "I'm not sure. Why don't we go to somewhere beautiful and peaceful. An oasis, maybe?"
Coxa smiled. "Maybe. But somewhere in specific."
"Why don't we go to the Oasis of Eternity? It's not too far from here and absolute paradise!"

Kna lead Coxa and the cubs to the Oasis of Eternity. Once they arrived, Kna smiled. It was beautiful. He hoped Coxa would like it as well.
"Coxa, do you–?"
"I love it!" she said putting down the cubs. She wandered it with excitement. "Oh, love, this perfect! The water is perfect. The frond of the palm trees give shade..."
"Good," he said joining her.

Kna laughed. "Love, don't ruin your feathers in the grass! Why don't you go for a fly. I'll watch from here, maybe even doze under the afternoon sun."
Coxa smirked. "Of course. You'll be impressed by my beauty and flying skills."
Kna smiled. "I bet I will."

Kna smiled as he saw Coxa spin up in the air and fly lightning fast, turning into the sky, he feathers shining in the night.

Kna called for her. "Coxa, love. Come down. You look magnificent but you must rest." Coxa nodded, swooping down from the skies and joining him.
"Where will we sleep?" she asked gazing around the oasis.
"If the soft grass of course! Unless you suggest otherwise," he said with a kind smile.
"I would perfer the trees."
Kna pursed his lips. This might be a problem. He looked around for alternitives.
"Ah! Why don't we sleep in the cavernous oak? There's an opening big enough for both of us and our babies."
Coxa smiled. "That sounds wonderful."

Kna smiled and arranged some soft grass as a nest and stepped into the cavernous oak. He watched as Coxa tucked the babies into her soft plumage. He layed beside her, she was beautiful and so natural. He moved in closer to her and the two made love (again... Tigerlily started it not me... *said in baby voice*)

Dawn light peeked in through the opening in the oak, warming the family with soft light.
"Wake up, love. It's morning," he said nuzzling her soft feathers.

The babies tumbled out of Coxa's plumage, out of the small cavern in the oak and into the soft grass that was shining with dew in the morning sun.
Coxa stretched and walked out. "Thank you for reminding me," she teased.
"Of course, deary," Kna teased back. "Shall I hunt?"

"Uh, sure, I've adapted to be a carnivor." She teased.

Kna nodded, amused, leaving Coxa to busy herself with the babies. He padded off silently, finally able to show something off to her. A flash of tan in the tall grass caught his attention and a Thompson's gazelle leaped out of the grass with a daisy in its lips. Kna easily pounced on it and killed it. Only a small nip in its neck signified that it had been hurt - strangely in this world (Sorry I felt a need to remind everyone that they aren't on earth) blood vanished but the wound remained.

Kna shrugged and dragged back to the Oasis, where Coxa waited with squealing cubs.
"Thank goodness your back. I've been hearing squealing since the moment you left. They wouldn't stop begging for food," she said with a sigh.
"Well luckily I got a good catch. Here eat, I'll have my share last." Hopefully the meat would still be fresh after being dragged along the dusty, ground.

Coxa grinned at him. "Oh, isn't being in a family exciting?" she asked.
Kna smiled down at her. "Of course!" He let the cubs tear apart the gazelle. He and Coxa took smaller, neater bites, letting the cubs eat at the fresh meat. "We still have to name them, don't we?"
